NASHUA NH December 2nd 2010 – ARC Technology Solutions, a leading provider of technical engineering solutions, has completed First Article testing of the MPN-14K Radio Bypass Switch system. The MPN-14K Radio Bypass Switch system allows air traffic controllers to continue critical communications with aircraft pilots when normal radio-processing systems have failed. ARC successfully employed a rapid prototype approach in the development of this system; completing development within schedule and budget.
The prototype structure was approved by the DoD for full integration at Pease International Airport in Portsmouth, NH after design, fabrication and complete bench testing was completed at ARC’s facility in Nashua, NH. Due to the innovative design, the unit was installed and in complete operation within a day, when expected integration was estimated for approximately three days. Ten more units will be delivered in February 2010, and installed within military landing fields nationwide.
